Biography

My creative journey begins with the study and scientific practice in physical chemistry labs - in the world of laser light, optical tables and cameras - using light as a tool to investigate atomic structures in nanoparticles.

LASER Rainbow

The colorful light emitted after focussing a high energy laser in one spot of air.

The experience and understanding of the physics of light translated into capturing visual images, supporting the first steps into photo- and videography. It became my way to creatively engage with stories outside my academic research of the material world, stories about the human experience.

Anyone lives and dies with a set of beliefs and stories that may never be verifiable objectively, but the stories we hear and believe, may they be scientific, religious or of any other origin, fundamentally shape how we behave as human beings.

The stories we perpetuate shape the world, and the compelling and compassionate telling of better stories could be our best way to change the world for the better, not just our scientific model of it.
